COVID-19 vaccine advice

COVID-19 continues to affect the Victorian community and we encourage you to follow the latest advice and recommendations for vaccination, and to stay home and recover if you become unwell.

Up-to-date information on COVID-19 vaccination is available at the Federal Government’s COVID-19 vaccine site.

It recommends a vaccination:

  • 75 years and older – Every 6 months
  • 65-74 years – At least every 12 months, but can be every 6 months. Talk to your healthcare provider about the risks and benefits.
  • 16-64 years – If you are severely immunocompromised, it is recommended at least every 12 months, but you can receive every six months. Talk to your healthcare provider about the risks and benefits. If you are not severely immunocompromised you can receive every 12 months.
  • 5-17 years – If you are severely immunocompromised you can receive every 12 months. It is not recommended otherwise.
  • Under 5 years – not recommended.
